Darlene M. Shemansky, 83 of Richeyville, PA passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 1, 2026.
She was born in California, PA on June 21, 1942, a daughter of the late Edison and Marie Farabough Bair. A 1960 graduate of the California Area High School, Darlene was later employed by the Nemacolin Country Club as the Groundskeeper. She retired after 30 plus years of service.
Mrs. Shemansky was a faithful woman and a devout catholic. She was a member of the St. Katharine Drexel Parish in Richeyville, a volunteer at the Richeyville Firehall, and was involved with activities in the Center of the Woods. Her family was very important to her, and she enjoyed playing cards, darts, euchre, and being outdoors gardening.
Surviving are 4 children Denise Pavlovich, Carol Johns (Mike), Antoinette Pepper (Daren), and Mark Shemansky (Kim); 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; siblings Loretta Crone and Edwin Bair; several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her husband Anthony Shemansky who passed away in 1992 and 6 siblings.
Family and friends will be received on Monday April 6, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home Ltd. 2830 Main St. Beallsville, PA. Prayers will be recited in the funeral home at noon followed by a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 12:30 p.m. in the St. Katharine Drexel Parish Richeyville Campus with Fr. Alec Scheuer as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Coal Center.
