Daniel P. Symcheck, 64 of Fredericktown, PA (Deemston Borough) passed away unexpectedly Monday, May 18, 2020 in UPMC Mercy Pittsburgh.

He was born August 17, 1955 in Waynesburg, PA a son of the late John A. and Nancy Booze Symcheck.

Mr. Symcheck was a 1973 graduate of Niles McKinley High School in Niles, Ohio.

He was employed as a foreman with Penn DOT retiring in 2016 with 35 years of service.

Daniel was a member of the Marianna Outdoorsmen Association and enjoyed fishing and hunting, especially with his grandchildren. Dan was a skilled carpenter and even built his own home.

On August 7, 1974 he married Sharlene Smith Symcheck of Fredericktown who survives. They celebrated 45 years of marriage.

Surviving in addition to his wife are three children, John Symcheck (Richelle), Daniel Symcheck (Devon) and Alisha Symcheck (Rob); four grandchildren, Noah, Aiden, Zoe Symcheck and Austin Symcheck (Chrysta) of Uniontown, PA; one brother, Mark Symcheck (Kathy) of Niles, OH.

Funeral services are private and under the direction of the Greenlee's Fredericktown Funeral Home, Ltd., 42 Bank St. Fredericktown, PA. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
