Chrystal A. Miller, 87 of Brownsville, PA (Centerville Borough) passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, January 9, 2022.
She was born on October, 28, 1934 in Phillips, PA a daughter of the late Arthur, and Francis (Grimm) Black.
Mrs. Miller was a 1954 graduate of the Uniontown High School.
Chrystal then moved on to work as an Office Manager at a U.S Airforce base in Colorado. Then shortly after she began the rest of her career at the Heart Association in Uniontown, where she also served as the Office Manager.
She was an avid member of the Laurel Valley Corvette Club from 1994 to present.
Chrystal also was a member of the Daisytown United Presbyterian Church, and a longtime supporter of the Lakota Indian School in the Dakota's.
Mrs. Miller had many passions, and interests starting with her love of cars. She especially enjoyed Chevy Corvettes, and even owned her own 1985 z-51 Corvette with which she won multiple trophies. In her younger years Chrystal even had the mechanical ability to fix her own vehicles if they needed repaired, and was very good at it. She was a devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers football team through thick, and thin. She loved to cook, and bake, especially for her loving family. Mrs. Miller also had a knack for crocheting.
On June 15, 1991 she married Matthew Miller Jr. who survives. They celebrated 31 years of marriage.
Left to cherish her memory in addition to her husband is a son Matthew Miller III ( April ) of Harrisburg, PA; four daughters including Debra L. Smith (Dennis) of Sun City Center, FL, Lorna R. Freund (John) of Meadville, PA, Angela Gaddis (Carl) of New Salem, PA and Diane L. Miller of Dunedin, FL; four siblings, including brothers Bob, Bill, and Clyde Black, and one sister Andrea Warren; eight grandchildren, Christopher Lewis, Jacob Freund (Kayla), C.J. Gaddis (Tori), Jared Gaddis (Angelina) Brittany Lewis, Stacy Freund (Rob), Matthew Miller IV and Casey Miller; six great grandchildren include Aaliyah, Johnathan, Xzayvianna, Grady, Gage, and Pierce.
Preceding her in death is a son Ronald C. Clements, and a daughter Lisa A. Miller.
Friends will be received from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 22, 2022 in the Greenlee's Fredericktown Funeral Home Ltd., 42 Bank Street at Crawford Rd. Fredericktown, PA 15333 for a memorial visitation, where a service will be held at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Beverly Bonnell officiating. Interment will be private. The family is requesting that all persons coming into the funeral home wear face a covering. In lieu of Flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Daisytown United Presbyterian Church P.O Box 76, 19 Church St. Daisytown, PA 15427.
