Cheryl Ann Organiscak Barath, 67 of Brownsville, PA passed away Saturday, May 18, 2024 in Ruby Memorial Hospital , Morgantown, WV.

She was born March 19, 1957 in New Eagle, PA a daughter of the late Francis and Violet Frank Organiscak.

Cheryl was a 1975 graduate of Bentworth High School.

She was employed as a teacher's aid with the Intermediate Unit #1, Coal Center for over 20 years.

Mrs. Barath was a member of the United Christian Church in Malden, PA and a social member of the West Brownsville Fire Dept.

Cheryl enjoyed traveling and supporting local community organizations. She was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan and loved her grandchildren. She was especially active in her granddaughter's dancing.

Surviving are three children, Jessica Barath of West Brownsville, PA, Rebecca King (Ryan) of Bentleyville, PA and John F. Barath II (Priscilla) of West Brownsville, PA; three grandchildren, Justin Smitley, John F. Barath III and Aubriella Barath; three siblings, Renee Lyons of Altoona, PA, David Organiscak (Debbie) of Dakota Dunes, SD and Lori Organiscak of Bentleyville, PA; several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are her husband John F. Barath who died May 13, 2006; four siblings Frank J., Richard and Linda Lee Organiscak and Mary Jo Rudy.

Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, Ltd., 2830 Main St. Beallsville, PA where funeral services will be held Friday, May 24, 2024 at 11 AM. Interment will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park.
