Charles S. "Chuck" Waleski

Charles Samuel Waleski, 85, passed away on July 6, 2026, at his home in Fredericktown, PA.

Born on March 13, 1941, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Chuck was the son of the late Wasil Waleski and Anna Hindes-Waleski.

Chuck was the devoted husband of Eleanor "Bunny" Waleski. Together they built a loving family and shared a lifetime of memories centered around hard work, family, and the outdoors.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Eleanor "Bunny" Waleski; his children, Marianne (Michael) Kolson, Jodi Gatts, and Wasil W. (Jennifer) Waleski; his grandchildren, Amanda Kolson, Alicia Kolson, Chase Waleski, Olivia Waleski, and Owen Waleski; his sisters, Anna Marie (Thomas), Grossi and Gladys (Francis) Rambo; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Chuck proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps, a service that reflected the strength, discipline, and dedication that he carried throughout his life.

An avid outdoorsman, Chuck was happiest with a fishing rod in his hand, a boat on the water, or walking through the woods in search of his next hunting adventure. He had a lifelong passion for hunting, fishing, boating, and exploring the outdoors. His greatest adventures, however, were those shared with his family. Whether on the water, in the woods, or on the road, Charles loved having those he loved most by his side.

He especially treasured time spent on his farm, locally known as “The Waleski Horse Farm,” where family gatherings created countless memories. The farm was more than a place to him, it was a home filled with laughter, stories, and the simple joys of being together. His love for his family was evident in everything he did, and the time they spent together will remain a lasting legacy.

To those who knew him, Chuck was the person you called when you needed help. Whether it was a hand with a project, the right tool for the job, sound advice, or simply someone willing to show up, he was always there. His generosity, dependability, and willingness to help others became hallmarks of his life. He never sought recognition for his kindness; he simply believed that helping others was the right thing to do.

Chuck will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his unwavering love for his family, and the quiet strength and generosity that defined his life. His example of service, humility, and selflessness lives on in the family he cherished and in the countless lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Family and friends will be received at the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, Ltd., 2830 Main St.  Beallsville, Pennsylvania, on Thursday, July 9, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Allegheny County Memorial Park in McCandless Township on Friday, July 10, 2026 at 1:00 PM.

Though he is no longer with us, the lessons he taught, the adventures he shared, and the love he gave will remain with his family forever.
