Charles R. "Bill" Linton, 88, of Scenery Hill, PA passed away on Tuesday March 18, 2025 in his home surrounded by family after a brief illness.

Bill was born on January 5, 1937 in Amwell Twp., a son of the late Leroy and Irene Hewitt Linton.  He attended the Ellsworth High School and was later enlisted in the U.S.M.C. serving from 1954 to 1956.  For his service he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal.  Following the service, he was employed by Brockway Glass as a supervisor in Washington, PA Freehold, NJ and Muskogee, OK retiring after 37 years of service.

On October 24, 1958 he married his wife Dorothy Beall Linton who survives.

He also leaves behind 6 children William Linton (Reta) of Pataskala, OH, Barbara Heberle (Kevin) of Indian Land, SC, Jeffery Linton (Mary) of Morristown, PA, Gregory Linton (Saundra) of Chetek, WI, Daniel Linton (Mary Beth) of Whiting, NJ, Brian Linton (Bonnie) of Chapan, SC; 19 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and one brother Bob Linton of Washington, PA; several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death are 4 siblings Edna, Arthur, and Walter Linton and Ann Huffman.

Friends will be received on Monday March 24, 2025 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home Ltd. where Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m.  Interment will follow in the Scenery Hill Cemetery.
