Obituary

Calvin V. Staley 82, of Richeyville died Thursday April 1, 2021.

He was born September 8, 1938 a son of the late Jessie and Elizabeth Kovach Staley.

Mr. Staley was a 1957 graduate of California Area High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Vietnam era.

He had been employed by Joy Manufacturing as a motor test stand operator for many years before retiring in 2004 and also operated his own electronic repair business.

He enjoyed the outdoors and crossword puzzles, gameshows, and fixing things for his daughter.

On November 28, 1964 he married Laraine Kime Staley who survives, together they celebrated 57 years of marriage.

Also surviving is a daughter, Tina Renner (Rob) of Fredericktown Pa,; a son, Scott Staley of Monessen, Pa., a brother George Staley (Dorothy) of Lincoln Park, Mi., a granddaughter, Nicole Poling and a great granddaughter, Wrena Seese.

Deceased, in addition to his parents, are three brothers: Donald, Frank, and Louis Staley.

Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-6PM in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, 2830 Main Street, Beallsville, where funeral services will be held at 10AM on Wednesday, April 7 , 2021.  Interment will be at LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, PA.

All COVID-19 rules are applicable.  Masks and social distancing are required.
