After a life well-lived, Betty Elizabeth Agnes Zajac, 92, of Fredericktown, PA (Deemston Borough) formerly of Cheektowaga, NY passed away peacefully on March 31, 2025 in her home.
Betty was born on December 21, 1932 in Lackawanna, NY a daughter of the late Edward N. and Agnes Krzyzanowska Schultz. She graduated from Villa Maria Academy in 1952. Shortly after graduation, on October 22, 1955 she married the late Henry L. Zajac who passed away on February 14, 1993.
A woman of great faith she is a member of the St. Katharine Drexel Parish Richeyville Campus and was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish in Buffalo, NY. She was loved and respected by all who met her. Many friends of her children referred to her as their second mother. Many called her a best friend. She gave her time and talents to both Boy and Girl Scouts. She also loved horses and all the dogs and cats she had as pets throughout her life.
She leaves behind three children Donna Marie Taylor, Col (Ret) Daniel L. Zajac, and AnnMarie Bauer; seven grandchildren Daniel A. Rosati, Daniel B. Zajac, Natasha Zajac, Brenton Bauer, Bailey Bauer, Benett Bauer, and Bryson Bauer; 2 great grandchildren Wesley Zajac and Amelia Bauer.
Preceding her in death in addition to her husband is a granddaughter, Dina Rosati.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home Ltd. A graveside service and Interment will be held in the St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Buffalo, NY on Friday April 11, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. An online guestbook is available at www.GreenleeFuneralHome.com
