Benjamin R. Rapchak, 86, of Daisytown, PA died on Tuesday June 9, 2026, in the Jefferson Hospital.

Ben was born in Brownsville, PA on September 17, 1939, a son of the late Michael and Mary Sichko Rapchak.   In 1957 he graduated from the Carmichaels High School, and shortly after married his beloved wife Geraldine (Gruhalla) Rapchak on January 20, 1962.

For 32 years he was employed as a trainman and conductor for Con- Rail in West Brownsville from where he retired.

Family was especially important to Ben, he also was passionate about mowing and taking care of his lawn, watching Pittsburgh sports, playing cards, and drinking the occasional glass of scotch.  He was an all-star athlete in many different sports and a lifetime member of the East Belle Vernon Athletic Association.  He was also a member of the St. Katharine Drexel Parish, Richeyville Campus.  Ben will always be remembered for his sense of humor and quick, sarcastic wit.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters Wendy Pepper (John), and Linda Rapchak; brothers John and Paul Rapchak; several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death are brothers Michael and Daniel Rapchak.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday June 11, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home Ltd. 2830 Main St. Beallsville, PA.  Where a blessing service will be held on Friday beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Deacon Al Poroda officiating.   Entombment will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill.  An online guestbook is available.
