Audrey Levandosky
Corfont
Aug 12, 1935 — Aug 24, 2023
Audrey Ellen Levandosky Corfont, born August 12, 1935, in Marianna, PA was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend and a truly generous person. She left our lives on August 24, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of giving and kindness that will remain in the hearts of many.
She touched the lives of so many with her devotion to her children and grandchildren. Mom-Mom was known to many for her unconditional love and boundless generosity. She was always ready to bake, and her cream puffs were always a hit for the many local bake sales and other baked goods graced many wedding cookie tables in the tri-county region. Sundays and holidays could find her delicious home-made sauce and pastas, and the table was surrounded by many family members and friends.
Audrey was the daughter of Steve and Helen Koss Levandosky. She was a 1955 graduate of West Beth High School in Marianna. In her early life she worked as a seamstress in Waynesburg and Washington, but most of her life her most cherished role was that of mother and grandmother. She actively participated in her children's activities, as a Girl Scout Leader, a Boy Scout parent volunteer, and band parent. The volunteering didn't stop with her children, she continued her volunteerism with her grandchildren. Audrey was a lifelong member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish Fredericktown Campus and was also active in the church as a CCD instructor, member of the Christian Mothers and Birthday Club and she was always seen cooking and working in the kitchen for many fundraising dinners. She was one of the last members of the "Monday Night Card Club".
Audrey is survived by her children, William Gary Corfont, of Pittsburgh, Stephanie (Benji) Bupka, of Clarksville, her caregiver in her later years and with whom she made her home, and Andrew (Linda "Lydia") Corfont of Waynesburg, four grandchildren Jarrod (Jackie) Bupka of Upper St. Clair, Audra (Justin) Crowe, of Millsboro, Alyssa (Dan) Cunningham of Apex, NC, and Rachael Corfont of Waynesburg. She was also the proud great grandmother of Harper Cunningham, Lucille Crowe, Mavis Bupka, Brayden Cunningham, and Camryn Cunningham. She is also survived by two sisters Betty White and Agnes Mae Knizner both of Marianna and a lifelong friend who was like a brother, Lonnie Wayne (Mary Ann) Rudnisky of Amity and several nieces and nephews and many extended "family" members.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband William J. Corfont, a brother Stanley Koss and a sister that died in infancy.
A special thank you to Gateway Hospice for their wonderful care and compassion.
