Alexander J. Parocai Sr. 79, of Bentleyville , PA passed away on Wednesday April 30, 2025 in the Mon Valley Care Center.

Alex was born on September 30, 1945 in Daisytown, PA, a son of the late Alexander M. and Elizabeth Sharkady Parocai.   Mr.  Parocai had a strong desire to serve his country and joined the U.S.M.C as soon as he was able in 1963.  He served for 4 years and was a Sgt. earning several medals including the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and the Rifle Marksman Medal.  Throughout his military experience he had underwent extensive education and training courses.

Following the service, he was employed as a Police Officer with the Metropolitan Police department in Washington, D.C. and retired after more than 23 years of service.

On September 21, 1968 he married his wife Sheila Chicoine Parocai who survives.

He was a faithful man and loved being outdoors, especially in his younger years when he loved hiking, mountain climbing, and horseback riding.

Surviving in addition to his wife are three children Alexander Parocai Jr. (his former wife and mother of his children Melissa Parocai) of  KY;  Katie Whisner (James) of Richeyville, PA; and Sean Parocai of Bentleyville, PA; 4 grandchildren Zac Parocai (Dakota), William Parocai, Aidan Whisner, and Ian Parocai; sister in law Maureen Chicoine (RSCJ); Niece and Nephew Debra and Mark Rice.

Preceding him in death are two sisters Anne Grupe, and Barbara Rice.
