Albert "Al" E. Yates, 93, of Bentleyville, PA passed away October 14, 2025, in Presbyterian SeniorCare, Southmont.

Mr. Yates was born on October 5, 1931, in Donora, PA, a son of the late Allan and Ada Hubble Yates. He graduated from Donora High School in 1949 and upon graduation he was enlisted in the U.S. Army serving in the Korean war as a Cpl.  For his service he was awarded the Korean Service Medal with one bronze service star, the United Nations Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal.

Following his military service, he attended the California University of Pennsylvania where he received his bachelor's and master's degree in speech pathology. He worked at the California University of Pennsylvania as the chairman of the speech pathology department for thirty-five years.

Albert enjoyed golfing and yard work and was a sixty-year member of the Nemacolin Country Club and was a former board member there. He was also a member of the Centerville American Legion #705.

Surviving is his son Jeffrey Yates (Jennifer) of Washington PA; sister Gail Jericho of Donora; grandchildren Devin Yates, Sierra Yates, Garrett Yates, and Jessica Ali, Chelsea Ali, and Brock Ali; several nieces and nephews.

Proceeding him in death are his wife Edith "Posey" Yates, sisters Betty Guiffrida and Jane Yates, brothers Jack, Allan, and Earl Yates.

Friends will be received on Monday October 20, 2025, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Greenlee's Bentleyville Funeral Home 619 Main Street Bentleyville, PA, 15314.  Where Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday October 21, 2025, at 11 a.m. with Rev.
