Retired Nurse Practioner at Centerville Clinic

Ann Abbadini, 83, of Fredericktown, PA (Richeyville) died Monday, August 9, 2010 in the Nevaeh Cove, Charleroi, PA after a lengthy illness.
She was born May 7, 1927 in Vestaburg, PA a daughter of the late Alfred and Mary McCloskey Dellirocili. She was a 1945 graduate of Centerville High School. Mrs. Abbadini was a 1949 graduate of the Washington Hospital School of Nursing and was Vice President of her class.
She was chosen to attend the first class for Nurse Practioners at the University of Pittsburgh. In 1978 she became one of the first Nurse Practioners in the State of Pennsylvania.
She worked in various hospitals in the area and finished her career as a Nurse Practioner at the Yablonski Centerville Clinic in California, PA. In 1995 she retired from a job she enjoyed which allowed her to develop many lasting relationships.
Mrs. Abbadini enjoyed her life as a wife, mother and grandmother. She loved cooking, gardening, dancing, attended many Football, Basketball and Lacrosse games as well as holding hands with her husband…. the last memorable moment of her life.
On November 27, 1948 she married Orlando "Lundo" Abbadini, who survives. They recently celebrated 61 years of marriage.
Left to cherish her memory are three children; Pat Cook (Dave) of Orland Park, IL, Bernie Pagac (Fred) of Eden Prairie, MN, and Mark Abbadini (Kathy) of Fredericktown, PA (Richeyville); six grandchildren; Kristyn Turner (Jim), Karrie Crocker (Chris), Kelly Cook, Jennifer Wieden (Adam), Freddie Pagac, Aaron Abbadini; two great grandchildren, Isabel Wieden and Allessandra Wieden; one brother, Tom Dellirocili (Jeannette) of Brownsville, PA; Sister-in-law Gertrude Abbadini of Brownsville; Brother-in-law Robert Abbadini (Gladys) of Waynesburg; Aunt Ann McCloskey of Fredericktown and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased in addition to her parents is a sister Violet Giovanelli and a brother Alfred Dellirocili.

Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 9 P.M. in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, 2830 Main Street, Beallsville, PA where prayers will be said at 10:15 A.M. Thursday, August 12, 2010 followed at 11:00 A.M. by a Mass of Christian Burial at the St. Oliver Plunkett Parish (formerly St. Michael's Archangel Church), Fredericktown with Rev. Paul Grunebach as Celebrant. Interment will follow at the Beallsville Cemetery. A Parish Vigil will be held Wednesday at 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
