Melva Viola Kubena
Melva Viola Kubena, age 81, of Cokeburg, PA died Sunday September 14, 2003 in her home.
She was born June 5, 1922 in Webster Springs, West Virginia a daughter of Norvel and Viola Kelly Ash.
Mrs. Kubena was a member of the Ave Maria Church, Bentleyville.
She enjoyed knitting and crocheting.
Surviving are 3 sons; Fred Kubena of Claysville, PA, William Kubena of Brunswick, OH, and David Kubena of Bentleyville, PA. Also surviving are 8 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Her husband, Anthony Kubena died April 12, 1987, a son Anthony Kubena, Jr died August 20, 1990. Also deceased are 7 Brothers - Claude, Orlando, Ronald, Ralph, Fred, Eugene, and Herb Ash.

Friends will be received from 2 to 9PM Wednesday in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home 2830 Main St. Beallsville, Pa where a Prayer Service will be held at 11:45 AM Thursday September 18, 2003 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 PM in the Ave Maria Church, Bentleyville, with Rev. John B. Lendvai as Celebrant. Interment will be in the Beallsville Cemetery.
